I provide surgical treatment to people who have hip and knee joint pain (osteoarthritis), infections, and complications from total joint replacements. I have a special interest in using minimally invasive surgical techniques to maximize early recovery and long-term treatment outcomes.
Traditionally, joint replacement has been an inpatient surgical procedure. With the introduction of minimally invasive techniques, modern pain protocols, improved anesthetic techniques, and rapid rehabilitation protocols, surgeons are able to perform joint replacement procedures on an outpatient basis.
Minimally invasive surgical approach involves much smaller incisions than traditional surgeries. It causes less trauma to the tissues resulting in quicker healing and recovery.
